Questions About HMS S.P.A.R.K.S.?
Is attendance important?
Yes, regular attendance in program is very important. Students who attend regularly have more opportunities to participate in activities which will help strengthen their math and reading skills as well as build leadership skills. This year we are starting Club 30 which students become a part of once they have reached 30 days or more of attendance. Students in this club will be eligible for additional rewards and prizes.
Do you go on field trips?
Throughout the school year we will be going on several different field trips and planning lots of fun events. Some that are already scheduled include:
- Tubing at Snow Snake
- Soup Cookoff
- Market Day
- SPARKS Bucks Auction
- Bowling
How much does SPARKS cost?
Nothing!!! All of our activities and field trips are free thanks to a grant from the Michigan Department of Education.
How Do I Get Home?
Students who attend HMS SPARKS are eligible for free Clare County Transit services from September 30 until April 24.
